Domain authority
Domain authority is a score that shows how strong a website is in search engines. It ranges from 1 to 100. The higher the score, the more likely the website is to rank well. Websites with high domain authority usually have lots of quality content and backlinks.
For example, big sites like Wikipedia or BBC have high domain authority because many other sites link to them. A new website usually starts with a low score and can improve it over time with good content and links.
